CAMBUS Service Alert: Additional Hospital-Finkbine/Arena service from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning Nov. 23

CAMBUS is providing additional Hospital-Finkbine/Arena route service until 8 p.m. beginning Monday, Nov. 23. The service change is in response to rider feedback and was determined after an analysis of boarding data and service options. The service expansion will allow for departures approximately every 7 minutes until 8 p.m. from the West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC) to Parking Lot 65, Finkbine and Parking Lot 75, Arena. The additional service will remain in place while Parking Lot 85 permit holders are relocated during the winter months.
The Parking and Transportation Department has temporarily relocated Parking Lot 85, Hawkeye Commuter permit holders to Parking Lot 65, Finkbine Commuter in response to the pandemic. CAMBUS service on the Hospital-Finkbine/Arena route was increased in response to the temporary relocations during the typical AM and PM peak commuting times – 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Since the relocations began on Nov. 9, riders have expressed the need for additional service from the WCTC to Parking Lots 65 and 75 during the 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. hour – especially around 7:45 p.m. Currently departures were provided every 15 minutes during the 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. hour.
