Heavy traffic likely August 20 - 22, 2019 throughout Iowa City due to university residence hall move-in

The University of Iowa campus will be welcoming students for the 2019-2020 Academic year the week of August 20, 2019. Traffic throughout Iowa City may be heavy and in particular near UIowa residence halls. Please allow extra travel time due the traffic. 

The majority of students will be moving in to residence halls Tuesday, August 20 through Thursday, August 22. Traffic may be heavy throughout the city and delays to transit services are possible. In addition to increased traffic, some roads near residence halls may have modified traffic patterns. Please follow all posted signs and obey instructions from event staff and police. Complete move-in details are available online: https://housing.uiowa.edu/move-in and in Iowa Now
