The west elevator bank in Hospital Parking Ramp 4 is being updated and elevator service will be reduced from Monday, Nov. 27 – Friday, April 26, 2024 (weather dependent) .

CAMBUS will be adding service during the morning to 31 Red Route and 32 Blue Route and during the evening to 51 Hospital-Finkbine/Arena beginning Monday, Nov. 27.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 9, CAMBUS routes 31, 35, and 43 will detour away from the intersection of Madison/Washington Street due to utility work impacting the roadway. The Main Library stop will be temporarily relocated to Burlington Street.

Service for CAMBUS route 54 Hancher-Newton Road during the morning and evening commute will resume on Monday, Oct. 23.

Due to a driver staff shortage, CAMBUS will discontinue route 33 South Campus Shuttle as of Monday, Oct. 8. The last day for route 33 service will be Friday, Oct. 6.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 2, CAMBUS will suspend service from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on the 35A Interdorm route.

Due to construction on 1st Avenue near I-80, the Iowa River Landing East stop will move to south of 9th St. beginning Sept. 21, until further notice.

As the fall semester gets underway, here are six ongoing projects that may affect travel around campus.

CAMBUS will operate academic routes and schedules beginning Saturday, Aug. 19

Construction of the Hawkeye Ramp will begin the week of May 29, and a new parking lot number (Lot 52) will be assigned to the remaining surface parking north of the construction site. After the new ramp’s anticipated completion in 2025, Hospital Parking Ramp 1 will be removed to make way for construction of the new UI Hospitals & Clinics inpatient tower.
