    380 Express Discount

    • Reduce traffic impact to I-380/I-80 construction project

    • Desire to make this option more attractive

    • Offer discount to ride the 380 Express

    • Should have data soon on purchased passes

    Bike Share update – Gotcha

    • Vendor impacted by tariffs

    • Iowa City and UI will have the same launch date

    • Potential hub locations

    • Goal is to launch in April 2020

    • Working out how many bikes to bring on campus

    • Pedal-assist bicycles

    • Phone calls to come with Gotcha team

    • Working through the establishment of a geofence/boundaries

    • Iowa City is focused on the downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods

    • Users can return the bicycle to a hub, doesn’t need to be to the same one you took it from

    • What are the rates? 

    • Suggestion

    • Art complex (Hancher area)

    • Impact of e-scooters

    • Vendor is capable of that

    • City is more open than UI

    • Moratorium is still in effect


    Transit App update

    • Moving on from the BONGO App

    • Transit App provides more features

    • Provides notification function

    • Display all local options

    •​​​​​​​ Uber, Lyft, Rideshare, Bike Share

    • Active app in large metro areas currently

    • No cost for UI or for users

    • Only need promote the app to use

    • Working through some technical issues right now

    •​​​​​​​ CAMBUS information is active now

    • Iowa City Transit and Coralville Transit have agreed to join on a trial basis

    • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Hoping to launch very soon

    Transit Study with Iowa City, Coralville and CAMBUS

    • Began in August 2019

    • Participated in data collection phase

    • On-board surveys

    • Public input phase is happening now

    • November 12-14

    • UI campus, Iowa City and Coralville will host

    •​​​​​​​ IMU, Iowa City Public Library and Coralville City Hall

    • Users can come to any of the sessions

    • Would incorporate several factors where equipment is not working, special events

    • Currently paying monthly

    • See it as paying twice

    • Anti-pass back option

    • Working through issues with this option

    • Manual process to reset equipment

    • Would like opinions from this group
