Can I take a rental vehicle to Canada or Mexico?
University vehicles may not be taken into Mexico or Canada without the prior approval of Risk Management. They need to know about your trip to address insurance concerns.
When I use a Fleet Services rental, can family members or friends ride along?
No, rental vehicle are for business use only. Family and friends traveling on University business may ride in the vehicle, but no personal use is permitted.
Can I drive my rental vehicle home at night?
Fleet Services vehicles are for business use only, however, you can drive a vehicle home if you plan to leave on your trip directly from home. No personal use is permitted.
As a faculty or staff member, how can I put myself on a waiting list for a particular parking area?
Log into the Self-Service website using your Hawk ID and password. Select “Parking and Travel" Click on "My Parking" Click on "My Parking Waitlist"
How is daily rental billing calculated?
Rentals are billed based on a 24-hour clock. If you return the rental within 24 hours or less, you will be charged for one day. Fleet Services allows a grace period of 1 hour.
Can I pick up my rental vehicle earlier than planned?
Fleet Services allows an exception to the 24-hour rental charge on weekends and holidays. When making a reservation, advise Fleet Services when the vehicle will actually be used and we will begin
When is the latest I can pick up a vehicle and what are Fleet Services hours?
Fleet Services is open Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm. You can pick up your vehicle as early as 7am and as late at 6:00 pm M-F.
