The University of Iowa Student Government launched an airport transportation pilot program during the 2018 fiscal year. Designed to provide convenient and low-cost transportation for students to the Eastern Iowa Airport prior to the academic breaks, the program will continue to evolve as it begins its second year.

For the 2018 Thanksgiving Break, a shuttle on Friday, November 16 and Saturday November 17 between the Iowa Memorial Union and the Eastern Iowa Airport (Cedar Rapids) will be provided by two suburbans. First departure is at 8:00 a.m. and the last trip will leave at 4:15 p.m. The shuttle will depart approximately every 45 minutes. Trip time is approximately 35 minutes from the IMU to the Eastern Iowa Airport. The service is first-come, first-serve. Complete details can be found on the Parking and Transportation website, transportation.uiowa.edu/ or UISG website, usg.uiowa.edu/

Parking and Transportation has been assisting Student Government with the planning and implementation of the program. The transportation option is a pilot program offered by UISG and continues to evolve as we evaluate the performance of the service and the needs to students. Service for the 2018 Winter, 2019 Spring, and 2019 Summer Breaks are being determined and details provided by December 2018. For any questions, comments, or concerns, please email University of Iowa Student Government.
