Parking and Transportation celebrated National Nurse Appreciation Week

In recognition of National Nurse Appreciation Week, the Parking and Transportation Department thanked nurses with a week-long celebration.  Our theme was “It’s a beautiful day to thank nurses”.  During the week of May 6-12, signs were displayed on the outside of the CAMBUS buses with our theme and Parking and Transportation staff members handed out free coffee, bottled water, donuts, cookies and gluten-free bars as a way to thank nurses for all they do.  We also gave away stickers, spray hand sanitizers, badge pulls, and pens and had a raffle sign-up for nurses to win prizes.   Approximately 1,000 people attended and 693 entries were part of the raffle for the following prizes.

Ramp 1 parking for a month – Anna Christopherson

Cell phone sanitizers – Ashley Lahr and Sandy Widdel

$50 gift card – Steff Drey

The week yielded very positive comments and was a great outreach event!
