Any student athlete that registers their vehicle with compliance through the online form FrontRush may purchase a student athlete permit. Please note if you are living in a residence hall you do not qualify for a student athlete permit.
Permits are sold on a first come, first serve basis and go on sale August 1st. Field House permits are available for AM, PM, and all day at the Field House facility. You can only have one parking permit.
The athletic department covers half the cost of the permit. As the semester progresses the cost decreases since we prorate by half month. The permit is valid starting every year on August 16 through May 15 of the following year and automatically bills for the Spring Semester on January 1st if it is not cancelled beforehand.

How to order your permit
You will need to complete the form on FrontRush before stopping into our office to purchase the permit. Once you have that complete, please stop into the West Campus Transportation Center with your University ID and license plate number. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm.
You will need to retrieve a hang tag from Parking Services for the permit to be valid.
Displaying your permit
The parking permit must be clearly displayed in your rear view mirror to be valid. You must have your permit to enter and exit the facility. If you forget your permit then you will have to pay the hourly rate.
How to cancel your permit
To cancel a student athlete permit you will need to return the physical pass to the Parking Office. You can either drop it off at the West Campus Transportation Center or mail it back to 840 Evashevski Drive, Iowa City, IA 52242. If cancelled before the end of the semester you will receive a prorated refund.
You will be charged for the permit until it is cancelled or expires. If you fail to cancel your permit you are responsible for the time the permit was active. Your refund will be based on the date the permit is returned to our office.
