The mix of fixed-route services will now operate between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.

  • An Interdorm Route has been added to Weekend Academic service and operates between
    8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
  • The Blue Route, Red Routes, and Hawkeye Interdorm Route will begin operating 30 minutes earlier at 11:00 a.m.
  • Bionic Bus services will begin at 8:30 a.m.
  • Route schedules are available online at https://transportation.uiowa.edu/cambus/routes.

Parking and Transportation worked with UISG to increase Academic Weekend services. UISG cited the request for convenient transportation for students to access food services, employment, and other weekend morning activities - particularly during the winter months.

UISG selected the Interdorm Route to fulfill the requested morning service because it connects riders with the main campus and all residence halls. Particularly the added weekend service will allow students, especially Mayflower residents, easy access to morning dining options at Catlett Market Place and Hillcrest Market Place. The increase in service is also anticipated to also be highly used by student volunteers at or employees of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

“It’s a win, win all around for students,” said Jacob Simpson, University of Iowa Student Government president.

CAMBUS hours of operation vary depending upon the academic calendar, offering a robust service during the university fall and spring academic sessions. Services listed above operate during Academic Weekend service. To determine what service is currently operating, please check our online Service Calendar.
