To provide clean and safe parking facilities, Parking Ramp 1 will be closed for maintenance. This project is part of our annual maintenance plan that helps ensure safe and long-lasting facilities. We apologize for any inconvenience this project may cause. 

CAMBUS summer 2026 service operates May 16- August 21. Academic service resumes Saturday, August 22.

Contractors will be performing preventative maintenance such as concrete repairs and recoating surfaces throughout Parking Ramp 4. Patients and visitors will still have access to the ramp as needed. 

To provide clean and safe parking facilities, Parking Ramp 2 will be closed for maintenance 4 p.m. Friday, May 1 through 3 a.m. Monday, May 4.

Starting Wednesday, April 1, Fleet Services’ administrative office hours are changing to 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Due to construction activity, the Dental College bus stop will be relocated 250 feet east March 30-April 3.

Cambus will operate break service Saturday, March 14 through Saturday, March 21. Academic service resumes Sunday, March 22.

UI Cambus is piloting new safety equipment on two buses that is intended to help transit operators be more aware of vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, and prevent collisions.

UI Parking and Transportation is seeking approval from the Iowa Board of Regents for parking permit rate increases starting July 1 to help fund necessary maintenance and improvements. Proposed rate increases vary by permit types and range from an increase of $1 per month to $6 per month.

CAMBUS scholarships have been awarded to three student employees for the spring 2026 semester. Many deserving and well-qualified Cambus student employees submitted applications for academic scholarships.
