Parking alert: Newton Road Ramp weekend closure July 26 - 29, 2024

The Newton Road Ramp (NRR) will be closed for maintenance. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter and park in NRR starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 26. The ramp will reopen for use at 3 a.m. Monday, July 29.

Parking alert: Hospital Parking Ramp 4 partial weekend closure July 26 - 29, 2024

The west section of Hospital Parking Ramp 4 (HPR4) and the entrance/exit from For the Kids Way will be closed for maintenance. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter and park in the west section of HPR4 starting at 4 p.m. on Friday. The ramp will reopen for use at 3 a.m. Monday.

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter and park in Plaza Ramp starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 19. The ramp will reopen for use at 3 a.m. Monday, July 22.

UI receives $16M grant for Cambus system improvements

The Federal Transit Administration awarded the University of Iowa a $16.4 million grant for improvements to the Cambus system, including the purchase of six new battery-electric buses that will help the UI reach its sustainability goals. In addition, the funds will help provide updates to the Cambus Maintenance Facility.
