CAMBUS will be providing shuttle service to assist with residence hall move-in Saturday, Aug. 13 through Tuesday, Aug. 16. All CAMBUS services are no fare and open to the public. 

CAMBUS provides service between Parking Lot 39, Hawkeye Storage and the main campus. Details for service are below.

Shuttle information - Hancher to residence halls

Move-in shuttles will be available each day from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

University staff will be available at Hancher Parking Lot to assist families with using CAMBUS to get to and from their residence hall. Shuttles will depart from Hancher Parking Lot about every 10 minutes.

Move-in shuttles Tuesday

On Tuesday, there will be one shuttle operating from Hancher Parking Lot to all residence halls from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Walking options

Those interested in walking to the east residence halls can use the pedestrian bridge near the southeast corner of Hancher Parking Lot. Click here to view a map with walking directions.

CAMBUS service after 6 p.m.

Dedicated move-in shuttles will end at 6 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday.

There is no CAMBUS service after 6 p.m. on weekends.

On weekdays, CAMBUS routes 31 Red and 32 Blue provide service between the residence halls and Hancher Parking Lot.

Information - Hawkeye storage parking lot to residence halls

Students using Hawkeye Storage Parking Lot will need to move their vehicles to the storage lot and may use CAMBUS routes to return to main campus. Route options and links to schedules are included below. Riders are encouraged to the Transit mobile app for trip-planning and walking directions.

41 Hawk Lot-Hospital

Provides service from Hawkeye Storage Parking Lot to the West Campus Transportation Center. Riders can then transfer to 31 Red or 32 Blue to get to the residence halls.

Note: The WCTC is about 15 mins walk to the west residence halls.

42 Hawkeye-Pentacrest

Provides service from Hawkeye Storage Parking Lot to the Pentacrest/downtown area. The Pentacrest is about a 7-10 minute walk to Burge, Currier, Daum, Catlett, and Stanley.

61 On-Demand Shuttle

The CAMBUS On-Demand Shuttle will provide service between the Hawkeye Storage Lot and main campus:

  • Aug. 13 - 14: 11:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Year-round weekdays after 8:45 p.m.
