Due to the forecast of extreme weather, the University of Iowa has announced that classes at the Iowa City campus are canceled from 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 29 through 12 p.m. Thursday, January 31. The Parking and Transportation Department is announcing modification to our operations during those times in the interest of safety. These changes include offering several no-cost parking locations, opening commuter parking locations to employees and students that do not have parking permits, and offering sheltered spaces to wait for CAMBUS service in some locations.
Persons who need to drive to campus between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 12 p.m. Thursday can choose from the following parking options to best fit their needs. Persons commuting from Cedar Rapids to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics are encouraged to use the 380Express service. This low-cost service now stops at the West Campus Transportation Center, beginning January 30, and runs every 30 minutes during the morning and afternoon rush hour. More details can be found on the 380Express website: https://www.380express.com.
Free and Open Parking Areas - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through 12:00 p.m. Thursday

Bus service is provided frequently and route details are available on the Parking and Transportation website: https://transportation.uiowa.edu/cambus/routes.
Other larger parking lots across campus will be monitored Wednesday morning to decide if these locations have available space for use without the required parking permit. Notice of any additional modifications will be published on the Parking and Transportation website and social media channels.
