Beginning late May 2024, a construction project on Newton Road will impact CAMBUS routes and stops. There will be two phases of impacts to CAMBUS service:
- Phase 1 | Summer 2024: The VA Hospital and Hardin Library stops will be closed. There will be limited use of the VA Loop stop.
- Hardin Library stop closed as of May 29, 2024
- VA Hospital stop to close June 11, 2024
- VA Loop stop closed to westbound Finkbine-Pentacrest (to lots) as of TBD
- Phase 2 | August - December 2024: The VA Hospital and Hardin Library stops will remain closed. The VA Loop will be closed. Routes may be detoured and temporary stops along Newton Road will be used.
The project is expected to last through the end of 2024. The project includes constructing a roundabout south of the VA Hospital and a new expanded bus loop with rider amenities.
The start date of the project and route adjustments will be updated once confirmed.
