University of Iowa CAMBUS is announcing service details for the fall 2022 academic session, beginning Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022.
Riders should use the Transit App to see real-time departure predictions, live bus locations, closest bus stops, plan a trip and more.

Staffing shortages
There are service changes throughout the system due to a staffing shortage. CAMBUS is taking many steps to hire new drivers including increasing starting pay, hiring bonuses, paid advertising, outreach, and temporarily hiring non-student drivers. As staffing levels improve, services will be returned to regular operations as able with consideration for ridership and university priorities.

On-Demand service
CAMBUS On-Demand services operate on weeknights. On-Demand service operates from 8:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Service is provided to and from commuter parking lots, the Health Sciences Campus, West Campus Transportation Center, and the Hawkeye Campus.
Accessibility
The Parking and Transportation Department is committed to promoting campus accessibility through mobility solutions for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. In addition to fixed-route bus services, CAMBUS also operates a door-to-door paratransit bus service, called "Bionic Bus".
