Transit Services for Persons with Disabilities

CAMBUS services are accessible to persons with a disability and all vehicles are equipped with kneelers and wheelchair ramps.

For those who cannot use the fixed-route system due to their disability, CAMBUS also operates ADA paratransit service - Bionic Bus. The Bionic Bus is a door-to-door, demand-response service provided with ramp-equipped mini-buses. Just as with Cambus fixed-route service, there is no fare to ride the Bionic Bus.

Interested persons should contact the Bionic office for more information at (319) 335-7595 or by email at bionic-bus@uiowa.edu. For fixed route information, please call (319) 335-8633 to speak with the CAMBUS dispatcher.

The general public should contact Johnson County SEATS for such transportation services at (319) 339-6128.
