Due to construction starting Monday, May 12, parking will be reduced at the Dental Patients and Visitor Lot. To ensure patient parking, only dental patients and their visitors will be able to park in the lot during the Arena Parking Ramp construction project.
Public parking
If you are not a patient or patient visitor, you will need to park at a nearby public hourly location. The next closest hourly parking options are these locations:
- Hawkeye Parking Ramp, north of Kinnick Stadium
- Newton Road Parking Ramp, north of Medical Education Research Facility
- Hourly mobile payment zone, west of Carver-Hawkeye Arena

About the Arena Parking Ramp project
The university is constructing a new parking ramp on the parking lots west of the College of Dentistry starting May 2025. The Arena Parking Ramp will help address parking needs created by the planned UI Health Care patient care tower and the reduction in surface parking from other related projects. Construction is anticipated to be completed mid-year 2027.
