The East Central Iowa Council of Governments (ECICOG) has announced that the380 Express bus service will continue through 2029. The service's partnership with the University of Iowa provides discounted bus passes on the bus line between Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.  

“This program is very valuable for employees and students who commute from the Cedar Rapids and Coralville area, and we are excited to see affordable service on 380 Express continue,” says Michelle Ribble, commuter programs manager.  

The partnership provides members of the campus community with one-way, 10-ride, or monthly passes at a steep discount. Current University of Iowa faculty, staff and students can purchase the discounted passesusing the Token Transit app.

About the 380 Express

The 380 Express began service in 2018 to help reduce congestion during major highway projects. Ridership has steadily grown since its 2018 launch, and as of 2025 it has surpassed monthly levels seen before the pandemic.
