CAMBUS will provide Weekday Interim Service Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3 with some increases in service in the interest of social distancing and parking reassignments. Interim Service schedules are listed for each CAMBUS route on our website. Some routes operate Year-Round Weekday service instead of Academic Weekday and Interim Weekday.

  • Riders are strongly encouraged to use the mobile app, Transit, for live tracking, departure predictions, and notifications.
  • Riders should board and exit buses using the rear doors. Learn more.

CAMBUS has suspended all weekend service until further notice following campus adjustments in response to COVID-19. Suspending weekend service allows CAMBUS to reallocate resources to critical weekday services.

CAMBUS reamins committed to providing services and supporting the critical functions of the university and UI Hopsitals & Clinics. Service levels for the week of April 6 will be announced soon.

Parking Lot 65, Finkbine Commuter and Parking Lot 75, Arena

In the interest of social distancing, CAMBUS has implemented additional departures from Parking Lot 65 and Parking Lot 75 during the AM and PM peak commute.

Additional AM and PM Hospital Finkbine/Arena service

  • 6:25 AM – 8:20 AM
  • 3:45 PM – 6:00 PM

Parking Lot 85, Hawkeye Commuter

Parking Lot 85 permit holders have been temporarily re-assigned to Parking Lot 65. Because of the reduced need for service to this parking lot, one Hawk-Lot Hospital bus is reallocated to further increase Hospital Finkbine Arena service in the interest of social distancing. See Hawkeye Parking Lot bus service schedule on the alerts page.

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Parking and Transportation’s operations are focused on supporting the critical operations of UI Hospitals & Clinics and the university. Operations may quickly change. In response to COVID-19, CAMBUS evaluates daily boarding numbers at commuter parking lots by departure and will quickly implement changes as needed.

Buses are cleaned twice a day with an EPA approved cleaner effective against COVID-19. CAMBUS also completed an intensive deep cleaning each week. If riding the bus, make efforts to practice social distancing as much as possible and use every day preventative actions identified by the CDC to prevent the spread of germs and viruses.

Up to date information regarding the university's preparation and response to COVID-19 is available at coronavirus.uiowa.edu.
