Due to a driver staff shortage, CAMBUS will discontinue route 33 South Campus Shuttle as of Monday, Oct. 8. The last day for route 33 service will be Friday, Oct. 6.

Reducing service is a difficult decision and several factors are considered. While we are not sufficiently staffed, we are reducing service on routes with low ridership that overlap with other bus routes.

We know changes to your commute may be inconvenient and appreciate your understanding.

Iowa City Transit options 

Riders who previously used route 33 can instead ride a couple of Iowa City Transit routes. To view routes, view the interactive Iowa City route map. The best options to travel between the Pentacrest and the campus south of Burlington Street are these routes:  

• 1 South Iowa City 
• 5 Lower Muscatine/Kirkwood 
• 13 South Gilbert
