On Wednesday, June 25, the UI fleet services office and rental fleet operations will begin providing service at 175 Hawkeye Drive.

The relocation is necessary to enable construction on the Cambus Maintenance Facility. The current Fleet Services location at 155 W. Harrison Street will close permanently after Tuesday, June 24.

Fleet Services West details

The new Fleet Services office, Fleet Services West, is located across from the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex and is located conveniently close to I-380.

Rental vehicle services

All rental vehicle pick-ups and returns will occur at the new Fleet Services West location on Hawkeye Drive starting Wednesday, June 25.  Personal vehicle parking will be available on-site for rental customers. 

The final day for rental vehicle pick-ups at the Harrison Street location is Tuesday, June 24. Rental customers that pick up on or before June 24 at the Fleet Services Building on Harrison Street may return their rental at the same location and place keys in the drop box.

Departmental vehicle services

Departments with leased vehicles should visit the new Fleet Services office on Hawkeye Drive for vehicle swaps, car washes, and accident documentation. 

Vehicle service and maintenance will continue at the Cambus Maintenance Facility (CMF), 517 South Madison Street. 

• When dropping off vehicles for service at CMF,  please walk inside to the Fleet Services maintenance office (center of shop) and hand the keys to a staff member. If no one is around, please leave the key in a blue plastic bin hanging on the door.
• If a loaner vehicle is required during service, Fleet Services requests at least 24 hours notice to ensure availability.
