Fleet Services New Admin Offices

We moved to our new admin offices on Wednesday 6/25 and are starting to settle in nicely. The new office is located next to the new Nagle-Duda Gymnastics & Spirit Squad Training Center across the street from the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex. The address is 175 Hawkeye Dr (we previously used 175 Prairie Meadow Dr as the address, it is the same location just a different street address). Customers will pick up rental vehicles at the new location and are still able to park personal vehicles. 

Operational Changes – What Happens Where?

With Fleet operations now separated across two distinct locations we wanted to make sure everyone knows where to go depending on what type of service or assistance is needed.

New Fleet Admin Office

Lease customers will need to come to Fleet Services Office on Hawkeye Drive for: 

• New Lease Vehicle Pickup and Vehicle Swaps
• Monthly Car Wash Passes
• Accident Damage Photos and Body Shop Repairs
• Vacuums and cleaning/detailing of vehicles.

CAMBUS Maintenance Facility

Lease Customers will need to go to the CMF for:

• Re-fueling with the Lost Chip Key. It is now stored in the Fleet Maintenance office.
• All Vehicle service and maintenance. (When dropping a vehicle off at the shop for service please walk inside to the Fleet Services maintenance office area (center of shop) and physically hand the keys to someone. Spare sets of keys are no longer kept on site so it important that keys are dropped so vehicles can be service in a timely manner. If no one is around you may leave them in the blue plastic bin hanging on the door inside the office.) 

Loaner vehicle Pickup. If you will need a loaner please let us know 24 hours in advance so we can plan to have a vehicle down at CMF ready for you.

New Rates for FY 26

The FY 26 vehicle rental and class-based lease rates are posted on our website. New rates took effect on 7/1/2025.

Rental Fleet Re-Fueling

The relocation of the rental fleet operations to Hawkeye Dr. has created some logistical challenges. One specifically is that we no longer have fuel on site to re-fuel vehicles between trips. For this reason we are implementing a pretty substantial policy change and are now asking customers to re-fuel vehicles prior to return. To minimize the hassle for customers all rental fleet WEX fuel credit cards will be turned on to work at gas stations in Iowa City and Coralville. An official policy to fine customers who do not re-fuel their vehicle is being discussed. At this point nothing is finalized and we want to give customers a grace period to adjust. We also plan to implement some sort of minimum mileage threshold where fueling will not be required. 

Parking Ramp 2 Kiosk Closing 8/1

Starting Thursday, Aug. 1, Fleet Services will no longer offer vehicle rental at Parking Ramp 2 (PR2) and the kiosk will be removed. This change is being made in anticipation of needing additional parking capacity for patients when Parking Ramp 1 closes this fall. All rental reservations on or after Aug. 1 will be picked up at Fleet Services West, 175 Hawkeye Drive.
