Health care appointment parking experience improved for UI faculty and staff

Beginning Sept. 6, a new automated process will reduce citations issued to UI faculty and staff for parking in space reserved for hospital patients and visitors while attending their health care appointments. If faculty and staff do receive a citation, it will be issued to your email.

UI CAMBUS increases starting pay, hiring bonus incentive for new student hires

Disruptions due to the pandemic and Iowa DOT appointment wait times have caused on-going staffing shortages at CAMBUS. Newly hired CAMBUS student are eligible for a $1,000 hiring incentive bonus after meeting milestones in the hiring process. As of August 21, 2022, the starting wage has increased to $17.50/hour with raises every 6 months.

UI transitions mobile parking payments to ParkMobile app

Mobile payment for parking on the University of Iowa campus is transitioning to a new service provider – ParkMobile. Beginning Monday, Aug. 22, parking users will make payment via ParkMobile for university mobile parking zones. The service offers a convenient way to find and pay for parking using any mobile device.

University of Iowa partnering with Bike Index for improved bicycle registration service

To better serve the campus and assist with stolen bicycle recovery, the University of Iowa has partnered with Bike Index – a national registry of bicycles. The registry is a database that police departments and authorities can access to help identify and return bicycles to their owners.
