Beginning Friday, Jan. 2, the Recreation Center Parking Lot will return to a gate-controlled system, and mobile payment will no longer be available. This change will make parking simpler and better support the different parking needs in this area of campus.
Details for users
Public parking
Public users will take a ticket when entering and pay with a debit or credit card when exiting. Parking will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as space allows.
There will be no designated permit spaces. Both permit holders and public users will be able to park in any open space.
Night weekend privileges
Night weekend (NW) permits and parking privileges allow permit holders to park at no cost in some gated UI parking facilities during designated night and weekend hours. These permits are intended for use during off-peak hours, when parking demand is lower, and are not valid for daytime parking.
Visit the student night weekend permits and faculty and staff night weekend privileges webpages for details on how each program works.
Permit parking
Parking Lot 11 permit holders can use their access card to enter and exit the lot.
