The west section of Hospital Parking Ramp 4 (HPR4) and the entrance/exit from For the Kids Way will be closed for maintenance. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter and park in the west section of HPR4 starting at 4 p.m. on Friday. The ramp will reopen for use at 3 a.m. Monday.

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter and park in Plaza Ramp starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 19. The ramp will reopen for use at 3 a.m. Monday, July 22.

The Federal Transit Administration awarded the University of Iowa a $16.4 million grant for improvements to the Cambus system, including the purchase of six new battery-electric buses that will help the UI reach its sustainability goals. In addition, the funds will help provide updates to the Cambus Maintenance Facility.

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter and park in HPR2 starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 12. The ramp will reopen for use at 3 a.m. Monday, July 15.

The skyway between the West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC) and Hospital Parking Ramp 3 (HPR3) will be closed Friday, July 12 – Friday, Aug. 2.

University of Iowa CAMBUS routes will detour beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5 due to the Iowa City Jazz Festival. The detours will remain through the end of the night.

CAMBUS staff attended the annual IPTA state conference and bus roadeo June 5 – 8 in Ames hosted by CyRide. The conference provides an opportunity for public transportation leaders to connect and attend various training sessions.

Construction of a new road connecting Newton Road to the University of Iowa Health Care university campus is underway. The project will be completed in phases with changes to traffic patterns, pedestrian detours, and bus stop closures.

Due to sidewalk closures, pedestrian traffic will detour to the skyway. To enter the skyway, please use entrances at the West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC) and Hospital Parking Ramp 3 and proceed to via the stairs or elevator to the skyway level.

Evashevski Drive will be closed to through traffic between Hawkeye Ramp Drive and Hawkins Drive on Saturday, June 22. Eastbound traffic will be routed along Hawkeye Ramp Drive to Hawkins Drive. Westbound traffic will be routed along Hawkins Drive to Melrose Avenue.
