Due to sidewalk closures, pedestrian traffic will detour to the skyway. To enter the skyway, please use entrances at the West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC) and Hospital Parking Ramp 3 and proceed to via the stairs or elevator to the skyway level.

Evashevski Drive will be closed to through traffic between Hawkeye Ramp Drive and Hawkins Drive on Saturday, June 22. Eastbound traffic will be routed along Hawkeye Ramp Drive to Hawkins Drive. Westbound traffic will be routed along Hawkins Drive to Melrose Avenue.

The VA Loop bus stop will close for one day on Wednesday, June 26 due to the ongoing construction project on Newton Road. Alternative boarding locations include stops to the east near MERF and Newton Road Ramp, and stops to the west at Dental College.

Due to a railroad project at Old Hospital Road, CAMBUS will be detouring at the Research Park campus beginning Friday, June 21. The East Lot bus stop will be relocated east of the parking lot to Oakdale Road. The Old Hospital stops will be closed during the detour. The detour is anticipated to go through the end of July 2024.

As part of our annual maintenance plan, maintenance will be performed this summer in the west section of HPR4. The west section of Hospital Parking Ramp 4 (HPR4) and the entrance/exit from For the Kids Way will be closed for maintenance over 3 weekends.

For your safety, the sidewalk between Duane Banks Field and Hansen Football Performance Center will be closed during renovation of the baseball stadium. 

University of Iowa’s CAMBUS recognizes John Underwood as the 2024 Support Person of the Year. The award was established by CAMBUS in 2019 to recognize the support staff who serve in behind-the-scenes roles to keep the transit system operating smoothly.

University of Iowa’s CAMBUS recognizes AbiJo Peet as the 2024 Driver of the Year. Transit service providers across Iowa each nominate an employee annually to be honored by the Iowa Public Transit Association (IPTA) for their commitment to providing safe and friendly service.

Starting Monday, June 3 and continuing into early August 2024, the on-ramp from 1st Avenue to I-80 eastbound will be closed until early August. Drivers on 1st Avenue wanting to go east on I-80 will be detoured west to the Coral Ridge Avenue interchange (Exit 240) and then brought back on I-80 eastbound.
