Parking alert: Parking Lot 21 weekend closure June 26 - 29, 2026

Maintenance will be performed in Parking Lot 21, Pappajohn Business Building (PBB) that will temporarily close the facility 4 p.m. Friday, June 26 – 3 a.m. Monday, June 29. During the closure, please use nearby alternate parking at the IMU Ramp and North Campus Ramp.

Maggie Greer recognized as 2026 CAMBUS Support Person of the Year

University of Iowa’s CAMBUS recognizes Maggie Greer as the 2026 Support Person of the Year. The award was established by Cambus in 2019 to recognize the student support staff who serve in behind-the-scenes and leadership roles that keep the transit system operating smoothly.

Bella Newell recognized as 2026 CAMBUS Driver of the Year

University of Iowa’s CAMBUS recognizes Bella Newell as the 2026 Driver of the Year. Transit service providers across Iowa each nominate an employee annually to be honored by the Iowa Public Transit Association (IPTA) for their commitment to providing safe and friendly service.

CAMBUS Roadeo 2026

On June 6, CAMBUS drivers competed in a “bus roadeo”.  The annual bus roadeo is a friendly competition amongst Cambus student and full-time bus operators that tests their driving skills in a ten-part obstacle course.

Cambus routes will be detouring Washington St. beginning June 1, 2026. Several downtown bus stops will be closed.

Parking alert: Facility maintenance at IMU Ramp, May 25 – Aug. 7, 2026

Contractors will be performing preventative maintenance, repairing concrete and recoating drive surfaces throughout the IMU Ramp.
