Please note that some parking locations are reserved for patient parking 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Thank you for helping to improve their experience and access to care.

Contract health care workers are eligible for a monthly permit. Please call 319-335-1475 to set up your permit.
You will need to provide your license plate information – including state and plate number –when registering for the permit. Please have this information ready.

University Medical Center (main campus)
Permit parking university campus
As space allows, contract health care workers are eligible for two permit option on the university campus: Hawkeye Commuter, Lot 85 and University Club, Lot 73. Both options include free UI CAMBUS transportation service 4:40 a.m. – 12 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Hourly facility university campus
Cost: $1.75/hour (see hourly rates)

Night and weekend university campus
Weeknights from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and all weekend, you can park in surface parking lots without a parking gate. During these hours, no permit is required, and parking is free. These surface parking lots are sometimes reserved for campus events.
Football game days
All employees scheduled or called into work during home football game weekends should use Parking Ramp 1, Parking Ramp 2, Parking Ramp 4, or Newton Road Ramp.
During home football games, several parking lots are used for event parking. Signs posted will indicate when a parking lot needs to be cleared. If you do not remove your vehicle before that time, unfortunately your vehicle will be towed.
Medical Center North Liberty
Permit parking North Liberty
Contract health care workers are eligible for the MCNL E/F permit (see map). Unless you are parking in the mobile payment zone, this permit is required to park on the North Liberty Campus 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Hourly mobile zone North Liberty
Mobile payment zones are available to provide short term parking options. These spaces may fill quickly. Mobile payment zone costs can be found on our rates page.
Payment is made using a mobile device by app, website, or text message.
The North Liberty campus mobile zone is located on the southwest side of campus.
Night and weekend North Liberty
Weeknights from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and all weekend, you can park in surface parking lots without a parking gate. During these hours, no permit is required, and parking is free.
Downtown Medical Center
Permit parking downtown
If you will be parking on the downtown campus during the day, you need to register for the MCD permit. There is no cost for the registration permit.
